It All Starts with a List

I’ve always been a list-maker.

I’ve made lists on napkins, in notebooks, in apps, on sticky notes, and in my planner every single week. I make lists of things to do, things to try, places to go, books to read, and random thoughts I don’t want to forget.

Some people journal. Some people meditate. I make lists.

Lists help me:

  • Remember what needs doing

  • Plan what’s next

  • Get out of a rut when everything feels a bit “meh”

  • Explore new ideas and experiences

  • Organize the chaos of everyday life

  • And best of all? Feel accomplished when I check something off!

There’s something deeply satisfying about finishing a task and putting a little checkmark beside it. It’s a simple thing, but it brings me joy. It feels like progress (however small) and sometimes that’s exactly what I need to keep going.

This blog, My Life in Lists, is where I’m going to track it all.

The experiments, the attempts, the wins, the failures. Not everything will be polished. Not everything will be finished. But it will all be real and it will be a record of a life built one small list at a time.

Whether it’s a goal I’ve been working toward for years or a random burst of inspiration that lasts a weekend, it’ll show up here in some form. Because all of it matters. All of it adds up.

Thanks for joining me on this journey.

Let’s get listing.
